Tom Cruise - Tom Cruise stays in character

Tom Cruise has insisted he must always be referred to as Cage, the character he plays in 'All You Need Is Kill', when on the set of the movie.
Tom Cruise will only answer to the name Cage on the set of his latest movie.
The 50-year-old actor is immersing himself into his new role as a demoted military officer in forthcoming sci-fi movie 'All You Need Is Kill' and is insisting cast and crew on the film only refer to him by his character name.
A source told The Sun newspaper: ''Tom doesn't care what people think.

''He's so focused on doing the best possible job on the movie and has used the same tactics in previous roles.
''Because he's Tom Cruise, everybody follows orders. He's a legend to them.''
Tom was recently praised for his ''honest and passionate'' approach to work by his friend, director Cameron Crowe.
Cameron said: ''Tom has never been afraid of the dark stuff. But the trick is to stay interesting. And Tom Cruise stays interesting by being honest and passionate. The guy on the big screen is a magnified projection of exactly who he is. And he is exactly where he wants to be and doesn't waste a second of your time.''
Another of the star's associates, Paramount Pictures vice president Peter Bart says the relative failure of some of Tom's other films, such as 'Lions for Lambs' and 'Valkyrie', has made him work even harder.
He said: ''I think having a few uncommercial movies made an impression on Tom. It was a reality check for him. And he's bent on survival. He's bent on remaining a star.''
